Georgina is a cook, food writer and stylist from North London.
Growing up above her grandparents’ Greek Cypriot taverna in Tufnell Park, she developed a love of cooking from the recipes passed down to her. At university she studied Fine Art after which her passion for food landed her a job as a food writer and stylist on various food magazines. Georgina then went on to join Jamie Oliver’s food team where she worked for 12 years. While there she wrote, developed and styled for magazine features, books, television projects and campaigns. She also wrote her first book, Stirring Slowly, which was published in 2016.
Georgina began writing a monthly recipe column in Delicious Magazine and has also written for other publications such as Waitrose Magazine, Sainsbury’s Magazine, OFM, Guardian Feast and The Telegraph. Her second book Taverna came out in 2019, and as a result she has appeared on Radio 4 Woman’s Hour and Channel 4’s Sunday Brunch and BBC's Saturday Kitchen.
Taverna, filled with delicious Cypriot recipes inspired by Georgina's heritage, was named Book of The Year 2019 in The Guardian, Evening Standard, Observer Food Magazine and Delicious.
