Charity Partners

The story so far...

When Big Feastival launched back in 2011, the intention was to raise awareness and contribute funds toward children’s health & wellbeing charities.

The charity we chose to work with for the first 6 years aimed to educate current and future generations, and contribute to a happier and healthier population. The funds raised from Big Feastival contributed towards providing access to food education for children, and raising food awareness to people of all ages.

In 2017, we branched out to work with more charities and began to partner with two official charities each year. To select these charities, we follow our core values: Good Music, Good Food and Good Times, keeping this at the heart of everything we do at Big Feastival.

With these values in mind, each year we commit to working with organisations that focus on creating positive children and family initiatives. We aim to support charities that work hard to provide food education, to ensure a nutritious and healthy lifestyle for all.

Each year, once our charity partners have been selected, we use our event platform to raise funds and awareness of these organisations and for the past ten years, we've helped raise over £300,000.

Our 2024 Charity Partners

This year, we are happy to be supporting The Flying Seagull Project & Global's Make Some Noise.

The Flying Seagull Project

Professional entertainer Ash Perrin founded The Flying Seagull Project in 2008 to bring happiness to children who are underprivileged, marginalised or suffering. The UK-based charity currently has more than 20 entertainers engaged in arts workshops, music and dance lessons, circus shows and clown doctoring. Together they’ve spread love, light and laughter to more than 130,000 children in hospitals, orphanages, deaf/blind schools, refugee camps and slums around the world.

The Flying Seagull Project works with disadvantaged young people in the UK and across Europe and the Middle East, especially children affected by the refugee crisis. You can find out more by visiting their website and can stay in touch with them on social media.
