Here at BF we aim to improve our sustainability achievements each year. Here are some of the initiatives we have running to reduce our environmental impact where we can.
This year we have made the move to biofuel in our festival generators.
We manage the power infrastructure to ensure only those who have requested it have a 24 hour power supply.
None of our Feastival waste goes to landfill.
We employ a fantastic team who will be looking after the festival site to clear litter and recycle where possible. We provide branded bin stations across the arena and campsite, making it easy for visitors to differentiate between general waste and recycling.
As a move to reducing single use plastic on site, we will not be selling any single use plastic water bottles on site.
Instead of plastic water bottles we are partnering with CANo water, and will be providing water stations to use refillable bottles.
To reduce the volume of vehicles leaving the festival, we are providing a coach service to two local areas. Each year we will review this service and improve where possible.
We take pride in supporting local traders and appreciate the benefit this has on our environmental impact. Two -thirds of traders are local (under 100 miles) and we often prioritise partnering with traders who have green environmental values.
Travel to the festival using public transport. Our Red Gate is right by Kingham train station.
