Jamie Oliver’s Kitchen Garden Project offers fresh workshops for all the family to get their hands dirty.
The Kitchen Garden in association with Daylesford Organic Farm is the place to come for a taste of the good life, with contribution from Jamie Oliver Kitchen Garden Project, Garden Organic and The Oxfordshire Gardener. Jamie Oliver will be presenting his Make n Shake Salad session and Garden Organic will be on hand to show guests everything they need to know about composting, whilst RHS qualified Oxfordshire Gardener will give demonstrations on how to grow their own kitchen garden – no matter how much (or little) space they have. There’ll also be the opportunity to discover the world of hen-keeping, along with fresh apple juice pressing and cider making. Jamie Oliver’s Kitchen Garden project aims to arm children with the skills they need to prepare meals from scratch and the knowledge to make better food choices for themselves and their future families.

Adam will be teaching the MUNE dance to demonstrate the health benefits of dance, healthy hydration, and strong immunity.
Singer and songwriter Sahand joins the line up as the winner of The Big Feastival’s Live & Unsigned competition
The search is now over for an unsigned act to win the chance to showcase material by opening The Big Feastival Main Stage on Saturday. As the winner of The Big Feastival’s Live & Unsigned competition, singer songwriter Sahand will join the likes of The Cuban Brothers, Gaz Coombes, Noisettes and Paloma Faith to introduce his chilled dance melodies, perfect for a summer’s day. After submitting his track for the competition, Sahand worked tirelessly promoting his material and made the shortlist which was then presented to the Live & Unsigned judging panel which included Alex James, Mercury UK President of Music Mike Smith (who signed Blur to MCA Publishing), JACKfm presenters Caroline Verdon and Trevor Marshall from The Morning Glory and BBC Oxford’s David Gilyeat.
Celebrating three of the things closest to both Jamie and Alex’s hearts – food, music and family – in order to raise funds and awareness for Jamie Oliver’s Better Food Foundation, The Big Feastival takes place on Alex’s farm on September 1st and 2nd and is two days of tasty grub, awesome music performances, a chilled out vibe and general all-round, family-friendly, fantastic entertainment.
As Jamie says: “When you get great food, great music and the kids are kept busy, beautiful things definitely happen”.
Good food, good music and good times for the whole family
