BRUSSELS WITH A CRUNCH RECIPE
Say goodbye to soggy sprouts and hello to crunchy breadcrumbs and crispy bacon.
INGREDIENTS
- 500g Brussels sprouts
- Knob of butter
- 50g Cook with M&S breadcrumbs
- 1 garlic clove, sliced
- 4 rashers streaky bacon, chopped
- 1 onion, chopped
METHOD
- Bring a large pan of salted water to the boil and cook the sprouts for 5 minutes. Drain and run under a cold tap until cold.
- Heat a large knob of butter in a frying pan and fry the breadcrumbs and garlic until golden and crispy. Remove and set aside.
- Return the pan to the heat and fry bacon and onion until softened.
- Add the sprouts and fry for a further 5 minutes until tender and starting to caramelise.
- Serve immediately, topped with the golden, garlicky breadcrumbs.
PERFECT PARSNIPS RECIPE
Enhance the natural flavour of parsnips with a squeeze of sweet honey.
INGREDIENTS
- 500g parsnips, cut into wedges
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- 2 tsp Cook with M&S parsnip seasoning
- Squeeze of honey
METHOD
- Preheat oven to 200ºC / 180º fan / gas mark 6.
- Place parsnip wedges in a bowl and mix well with the olive oil and parsnip seasoning.
- Add to a baking tray, and roast for 30 - 35 minutes until golden, turning halfway through and adding a good drizzle of honey.
HONEY ROASTED CARROTS RECIPE
Simple to make and delicious to eat, these carrots will be a winner with the family come Christmas.
INGREDIENTS
- 500g carrots, cut into wedges
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- 2 tsp Cook with M&S magic sprinkle
- Squeeze of honey
METHOD
- Preheat oven to 200º / 180º fan / gas mark 6.
