1. WHAT’S THE BIG FEASTIVAL ALL ABOUT?
GOOD MUSIC, GOOD FOOD AND GOOD TIMES!
The Big Feastival is a family friendly festival, combining award winning street food, Michelin star chefs live on stage with live music from your favourite bands. Not to mention an exciting programme of family entertainment all happening on Alex James’ Farm in Kingham! The Big Feastival really does have something for everyone.
2. WHEN AND WHERE?
Friday 23rd August, Saturday 24th August and Sunday 25th August 2019 on Alex James’ Farm in Kingham, the Cotswolds, OX7 6UJ.
3. HOW DO I GET THERE?
Where: Alex James’ farm in Kingham, Oxfordshire, OX7.
By Car: Please see our Farm Location page.
By Rail: The closest railway station is Kingham, which is just a 3min walk to the festival site. From London Paddington it is approximately 90 mins to Kingham, with regular trains also running to and from Oxford, Reading, Worcester and Hereford.
Taxis: There will be a pick up and drop point for taxis.

4. IS THERE OVERNIGHT CAMPING? WHAT IF I DON’T WANT TO CAMP?
Yes, there is full weekend camping, as well as pre-pitched tents and Glamping available – click here for more details. Campervan spaces are available but are limited in number. Camping is great fun but if it’s not your thing, there are also a number of lovely hotels, B&B’s and farmhouses nearby, and public buses and taxis to get you to and from site. 5. CAN I BRING A PICNIC?
Campers are welcome to bring food and drink to the Campsite. A wide selection of food and drink will be available for purchase in the Main Arena, where festival-goers will not be permitted to bring their own items for consumption.
6. CAN I BOOK A SEAT IN THE BIG KITCHEN?
The UK’s top chefs will be cooking up a storm in The Big Kitchen and it’s going to be popular. To be as fair as possible, seats will be allocated on a first-come, first-served basis, so you won’t be able to book a place beforehand. We recommend planning your day in advance and getting to your chosen sessions early to get a good spot!
7. CAN I BRING MY DOG?
As much as we love dogs, things would get a little chaotic if every man and his dog came along. So we’ve decided the men (and women and children) can come, but the dogs must stay at home. Guide and assistance dogs are, of course, welcome.
8. IS THIS A CHILD-FRIENDLY FESTIVAL?
The Big Feastival is for everyone, big and small. There’ll be plenty of hands-on activities for both big and little ones. On top of this, the Up All Hours Tent provides help with luxury nappy changing facilities, quiet feeding areas and microwaves to warm up food or bottles. And, no need to worry, all of this is free to use so you can pop in to re-charge your broods batteries as many times as required throughout the day.
Love your ears and protect your hearing! The hearing of our little ones is even more sensitive to hearing damage caused by loud noises or music. That is why children’s earmuffs and earplugs will be available at our Merchandise stands. You can find more information on hearing protection at festivals (also for adults) here.
9. IS THE SITE WHEELCHAIR-ACCESSIBLE?
The site is generally suitable for wheelchairs, but please be aware that The Big Feastival is an outdoor event in fields that could pose problems for mobility (particularly in wet weather). Click here for more information.
10. WILL THERE BE FOOD FOR VEGETARIANS/VEGANS?
There will be a wide variety of food available and we aim to cater for everyone. Sign up to our newsletter here as we release The Big Menu in advance of the event to help you plan what you’d like to eat.
11. I HAVE A NUT/DAIRY/SEAFOOD ALLERGY (I.E. SERIOUS ALLERGY), CAN I STILL COME TO THE FEASTIVAL?
Whilst participating traders at The Big Feastival will make every attempt to identify ingredients that may cause the most common allergic reactions, there is always a risk of cross-contamination and those with allergies should be mindful of this. Please check with food traders before eating and they will be able to advise.
12. ARE THERE CASH POINTS ON-SITE?
Yes there are cash machines within the festival site so you can top up as needed over the weekend.
13. WILL THERE BE SHOWER FACILITIES IN THE CAMPSITE?
Yes, there are showers located in the Campsite for campers to freshen up.
14. ARE THERE MAPS AND TIMETABLES AVAILABLE FOR ME TO PLAN MY WEEK?
The Main Stage line-up, NEFF Big Kitchen line-up and Big Map will all be uploaded to the website for download before the event. You can also pre-order your Festival Lanyard which has all the timetables to help you plan your time at the event.
15. WHO DO I CONTACT ABOUT LOST PROPERTY?
Any Lost Property that has been handed to the Festival Organisers onsite, will be collected and kept. If you have lost something at The Big Feastival, please email a detailed description of the lost item along with a contact telephone number, to firstname.lastname@example.org and we will let you know if it has been found.
