Part of The Big Feastival 2018 line up...
Will Bowlby, head chef and co-founder of Kricket, has brought a new vision to the UK’s Indian food scene. Shortlisted for Young British Foodies 'Chef of the year' category for two years in a row, and awarded National Chef of the Year by the Asian Curry Awards, Will started his culinary career at Le Café Anglais, working under the guidance of Rowley Leigh. Will was inspired to set up his own modern Indian restaurant, after a life changing experience living and working in India. In 2015, along with friend Rik Campbell, he opened his first restaurant Kricket – a 20-seat neighbourhood restaurant inside a Brixton shipping container – with the aim to showcase a vastly under-represented cuisine.
Following two years in Brixton, Will and Rik moved Kricket to central London, opening Kricket Soho, which was awarded a Bib Gourmand by The Michelin Guide, and won best newcomer in The Asian Curry Awards within its first year. Kricket has quickly attained a cult following and loyal support from diners and chefs alike, including Michel Roux Jr, Pierre Koffmann, Nuno Mendes and Anna Hanson. This year the team will also be launching Kricket Television Centre, in West London this summer. https://kricket.co.uk / @kricketlondon
