At 14 Kitty Tait got really ill with mental health and had to leave school. After a very difficult time trying lots of different ways to get better she found baking and then she found sourdough. At first she ran a subscription service, delivering loaves around her Oxfordshire village by bike. Then she organised weekly pop ups and then she set up a shop – The Orange Bakery. She and her Dad Alex sell ten different types of sourdough bread along with a whole range of pastries including the now famous cinnamon buns. The queues stretch down the street and the bakery sells out two hours after it opens. Kitty has been featured in the Times, The Telegraph and lots of podcasts and radio. She loves the bakery and life and her corgi dog Scout.
