After graduating from Jamie Olivers 15 program back in 2011, 6ft6 Turkish Cypriot (via Edmonton) Hasan Semay went on to spend the next 10 years in and out of kitchens all over London.
In 2021, Has wrote regularly for the Guardian Feast magazine, hosted supper clubs at Jamie Olivers and was featured in the special 20th Anniversary issue of Observer Food Monthly, as one of the ‘next big things’ to watch.
In 2022 he published his debut cookbook, HOME, with Pavilion. He also perfected his live cooking skills with spots on BBC Saturday Kitchen, C4 Sunday Brunch and C4 The Big Breakfast and at other times was brought in as guest chef and judge on E4 & ITV2 cooking shows. 2023 will see more TV appearances, whilst he writes cookbook two - AWAY.
