There are now only 50 days to go until we descend upon the Cotswolds for a 5th birthday party to remember. As you know, The Big Feastival is for ALL the family and we have crafted our biggest and best programme of all-round entertainment yet to prove it. Joining the likes of CBeebies superstar Justin Fletcher, Dick and Dom, and Reggie N Bollie, we are thrilled to reveal the full details of the Little Dudes' Den, Workshop, Big Top and Amy's Kitchen Village Green.
We have lots of exciting new activities planned and with debut appearances from the Twirlywoos, Optimus Prime, My Little Pony and many more, the little ones are in for a treat! We now only have a handful of camping and weekend tickets left so, if you had your heart set on joining us for the whole August bank holiday weekend, this is your last chance.
Big love, The BF Team X
Introduce your children to the magic of musicals with Baby Broadway, who will lead the audience in sing-alongs to kids classics from the likes of The Sound of Music and Frozen. If that isn't enough, waggle your wings, puff up your chest and come along to meet the Twirlywoos!
Between active fun with Jack's Acrobatics, musical workshops with Calypso Kids and holistic yoga with Club Morgan, little Feastival-goers will be spoilt for choice when it comes to fun in the Big Top.
We are thrilled to be working with The Design Museum for the first time this year. Using paper boxes, collage, coloured stickers and a little imagination, children can get creative making their own model museums and more.
For budding actors, there will be the chance to immerse yourselves in a world of theatrical fun with The Royal Shakespeare Company as they celebrate Shakespeare's 400th anniversary year and bring to life their family production of The Tempest.
Roll up! Roll up! This is where the fun really starts. For the first time ever we will be sharing our Den with some of our favourite Hasbro toys: Optimus Prime, My Little Pony and Play Doh - to name but a few!
Bugaboo are challenging mums and dads to take part in our very own Buggy Races and for some much needed downtime, Stokke will run craft workshops throughout the weekend, making nature collages, magical wooden fairy wands and paper flowers.
This week, we enlisted the assistance of some very important CEOs (Child Executive Officers) from one of our local primary schools in Bledington. The bright young things joined Alex James on his farm in Kingham for an inaugural CEO board meeting where they helped influence some big decisions about the festival this year.
We can't wait to put their ideas into practice - should you come across any giant chocolate cakes or impromptu water fights, you know who to thank!
Organic food pioneers Amy’s Kitchen are joining us for the first time this year to host Amy’s Kitchen Village Green, where you can find a whole host of activities for the family.
For budding athletes who didn’t quite make it to Rio, the Family Olympics will have plenty of fun and games to get involved in, so dust off your trainers and get your game faces on. Elsewhere, kids of all ages can brush up on their circus skills with the team from Jitterbug Circus, who will be juggling and plate spinning their way around the Green every day.
Amy's Kitchen will then be ready and waiting to offer hungry festival-goers delicious samples of some of their classic meals, including mac 'n' cheese and pizza served straight from the wood-fired oven. Alongside the sporting activities and yummy food, kids and adults alike will be able to take part in free screen-printing workshops hosted by Print Club London – with t-shirts and tote bags to take away! Sign-up for sessions will open each morning, so make sure you stop by their stand early to secure your place.
