Little Dudes' Den

Roll up, Roll up. This is where the family fun really starts!

Part of The Big Feastival 2018 line up...

Here at The Big Feastival, it’s not just about the grown-ups – we want everyone to have a ball and the Little Dudes' Den is where we prove it! From face painting to storytelling, dance lessons to jam sessions, bubble blowing to artistic juices flowing, there’ll be something to put a smile on everyone’s face.  Just remember - no day at The Big Feastival would be complete without commandeering our Haystack Mountain.  That’s right little ones; you have our full permission to make this Den your own! Check out what else we have in store…

The Big Top

This year, little Feastival-goers can delight in dancing, yoga and jumping with Yellow Flamingo and make as much noise as they want (in fact it’s actively encouraged) with the Calypso Kids percussion workshops.  There’s musical fun with Baby Bhangra and West End classics for the whole family to join in with Baby Broadway.  For budding karate kids, Ninja Tots will be running their martial arts workshops across the weekend. Don’t miss meet and greets with The Gruffalo, Peppa Pig & George and Paddington and each evening, we’ll be joined by a special guest storyteller – watch this space for details!

The Workshop

This year, The Workshop will host interactive sessions from the inspiring Royal Shakespeare Company and Royal Academy of Arts.

The Royal Shakespeare Company will be hosting theatre games and introducing you to the man that is Mr William Shakespeare. Channel your inner thespian and learn all about our most famous playwright!

New for this summer, The Royal Academy of Arts are joining us with a programme of craft sessions, which amongst other things will see children of all ages invited to help make a huge festival bunting display! See how the flags build across the weekend making a spectacle for us all to enjoy by the end of the festival.

The Makery

The Makery is hosted by the lovely Kate, who has firmly established herself as one of the UK’s top craft experts. Kids of all ages are invited to get involved with our tie-dying experience, creating festival headbands, fairy wands and shoe wings to help them fly around the festival!

The Hasbro Village

This summer, Hasbro are bringing My Little Pony, Play-Doh, Nerf and Transformers to the farm.  This is your chance to meet Autobot hero Bumblebee, test the latest Nerf Blasters, get a My Little Pony makeover and mould something memorable in the Play-Doh tent.  See the toys, meet the characters and have an incredible time!

Jitterbug Circus

The Jitterbug family will be on hand to teach little ones an array of circus skills – from Diablo, Juggling, Poi Dance, Tightwire, Stilt Walking and Hoola Hoops to Limbo and lots more. Along with a silly Circus Show, craft workshops, and bubble fun, there will be tight wire and tie on stilt walking workshops at different times during the day.  Delve into our dressing up box, let your imaginations run wild and take part in our very own Jitterbug Kid's Spectacular.

Zu Aerial

Enjoy the thrills and spills of the circus with Zu Aerial, appearing at the farm for the first time this August.  Zu will be offering aerial performances and workshops, as well as walkabout acts throughout the festival. If you want to learn to fly, book your place on their aerial arts workshops - places will be limited so get in early to secure your spot in the sky!

The Up All Hours Parents Pitstop

We know it can be challenging at a big event with little ones in tow, so we’d like to make it that bit easier for you with our Parents Pitstop. The Up All Hours team will be on hand to help with luxury nappy changing facilities, quiet feeding areas and microwaves to warm up food or bottles.  And, no need to worry, all of this is free to use so you can pop in to re-charge your broods batteries as many times as required throughout the day.

The Family Dining Room

Brand new for 2018, The Big Feastival is excited to introduce The Family Dining Room – a shaded spot to enjoy a bite to eat with all the family.  With toddler-friendly food options from Babease, The Cooking Cooks, Tom’s Spuds, Heavenly Tasty Organics and Kidchup, you can tuck into delicious delights for all the family.

The Kids Bazaar

In addition to the fun and games, the Little Dudes’ Den also has a selection of market stalls hand-picked for little ones. From festival fashions to fancy dress, healthy treats to handmade pleats, there’s something for every little dude and dudette.  Stalls include:
