The R.A.U. Herb Garden
HERE'S WHAT WENT ON IN 2016. NEXT YEAR'S PROGRAMME WILL BE REVEALED IN EARLY 2017...
Following last year’s UK Festival Award-winning initiative 'The Wheat Project', we're delighted to be working with The Royal Agricultural University to create an incredible new sensory experience for children that will showcase the journey from field to fork with our very own Herb Garden.
With freshly picked produce from our festival garden, budding young chefs will head to the NEFF Kids’ Kitchen for hands-on cookery classes with the Hobbs House Bakery team, taught by Tom and Henry Herbert (also known as the Fabulous Baker Brothers!).
Established in 1845, The Royal Agricultural University in Cirencester is recognised nationally and internationally as a leader in the delivery of education, research and consultancy in agriculture and the rural environment. We can’t wait to kick off another year of “grow-your-own” fun!
If this wasn't enough the Skinny Jean Gardeners from CBBC's Blue Peter are returning to The Big Feastival this year bringing Sow & Grow workshops to the Little Dudes’ Den. Pop along to sow and learn about your seeds and grow your own when you get home! If you are inspired by the green-fingered brothers they will also be selling tools and kits for you to develop your flora after the festival. See you at the Potting Party!
